-
Private Pay/Out of Pocket- For most families, in-home care is an out-of-pocket expense. Most in-home care services, including assisted living, follow this pattern. Despite the fact that in-home care is typically more affordable than facility care, costs vary according to the type of care a person needs and the number of hours he or she needs. To learn more, please contact our office to discuss the details of a custom care plan, as well as whether personal care, companionship, or respite care is needed. Prior to determining out-of-pocket costs and how to minimize them, all options should be considered. For more information on the cost of care for you or a family member, please contact our office.

-
Longterm Care Insurance - An insurance policy for long-term care may be able to help pay for care costs. Contact us if you have long-term care insurance and have questions about the paperwork needed to begin using it.

-
Medicaid and State Programs - It is possible that Medicaid will cover some of the costs of in-home care, which is the largest public payer of long-term care. Medicaid providers can answer questions about in-home care coverage.

-
Medicare - In-home care is not covered by Medicare. There may be Medicare Advantage plans available in certain areas. You will need to check your plan for additional details as they vary by state and location.

-
VA (coming soon) - The Veteran Affairs may pay for home care services for Veterans. You will need to reach out to your local VA office for more information.
