Different, not deficient. Together, we thrive.

Our Dedicated Team of Professionals

Each participant is supported by a team that includes Direct Support Professionals and a supervisor, who is a Qualified Professional.

We carefully select Qualified Professionals (QPs), requiring them to have at least a bachelor's degree and two years of experience in intellectual and developmental disabilities. We assess their professional reputations within their communities as a critical component of our vetting process.

We offer ongoing training for our QPs to ensure they have the latest techniques and resources for supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Consequently, the individuals and families we serve benefit from services tailored to meet their unique needs.

Our Qualified Professionals

Our QPs:

  • Help the family select the best support staff for their loved one, with input from both the family and individual. QPs ensure quality services.

  • Supervise all services provided to the consumer through monthly observations at home, work, and/or in the community.

  • Assist with developing the Individual Support Plan for accessing and using resources that can meet identified needs based on the individual’s and family’s strengths.

  • Develop short-range goals that the individual/family wants to work on in order to increase the individual’s independence.

  • Work with the care coordinator and other team professionals to ensure family needs are being met.

Our Direct Support Professionals

  • Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) include both Associate Professionals (APs) and paraprofessionals. APs have at least a bachelor's degree and are gaining the necessary field experience to become Qualified Professionals (QPs). Paraprofessionals have a high school diploma and experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

  • Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) collaborate with individuals to deliver personalized one-on-one instruction for habilitative training (home and community supports).

  • They actively monitor the individual’s progress towards goals and provide essential input on any necessary adjustments to those goals.

  • Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide personalized care services to address the unique health and safety needs of individuals. This encompasses vital assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, housekeeping, and more.

  • Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) offer essential respite services, providing much-needed relief to caregivers.

Training and Supervision:

  • All DSPs are trained in CPR/First Aid/AED, Safety Care®, Bloodborne Pathogens, Medication Administration, Seizure Training, Core and Client-Specific Competencies, Dementia, Cyber Security, and about eight hours of safety training covering defensive driving, weather emergencies, and safe lifting/transferring of clients.

  • Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are regularly monitored by a Qualified Professional (QP) to ensure compliance and receive clinical oversight, ensuring our agency delivers excellent services.

A room filled with several people, with a focus on a woman and child seated on blue chairs. The woman, wearing a red outfit, watches as the child receives a check-up from a person with long hair, possibly a healthcare worker, who holds medical equipment. In the background, more individuals, some with medical masks, are engaged in activities, likely related to health services. Posters and a blue banner adorn the walls, and sunlight streams through barred windows.
